I purchased Absolute Black 12″ granite tiles from Lowe’s about a year ago and installed them as my kitchen countertops. I noticed recently that there is a stain or watermark on one of the tiles — looks like a bottle of something — oil, vinegar, etc. — sat on the counter too long. I had not sealed the granite after installation.
Does anyone know how to successfully remove the stain without damaging the granite? Thanks.

Michael,
If the stain is oil make a poultice out of flour and paint thinner, like peanut butter. Spread this on the stain and cover lightly with saran wrap. Clean off after 24 hours. You can also use acetone or dishwashing detergent.

There's a poultice specifically for this. HD has it in thr tile dept in a small round container. I've used it and it worked for me.
