Anyone know of a source for black structural bolts for use in Post & Beam construction, powder coated or otherwise? I’m looking for 1/2 – 3/4″ in lengths about 8-10″. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Greg

A place like Fastenal or Fasteners, Inc, would have them around here, and some of the lumberyards would order them. The problem is they're grade 8 bolts, very strong and quite expensive.
Your other option is to buy zinc plated bolts, and have them powder coated, or heated up and quenched in oil by a blacksmith. That might be cheaper if you're doing quite a few of them.
