I nabbed a squirell cage blower from a renovation jobs dumpster.
I am planning on using it for exhausting my shop to the out doors. It has three supply wires red, blk, and white. I am certain it is not 220 volt, but 2 speed.
The supply connects to a plastic block with 5 ‘ports’ labled
4 3 2 1 C the supply is red/3 , blk,1 and white/C
I am guessing white is nuetral and red is speed A, and black is speed B, housing is ground..
Any advice on adding a plug or just wing it and see what sparks?

Look like you hit the jackpot on the fan.
White=neutral. Black=high. Red=low.

Thanks, that is what I remembered from the last one I had scrounged. There was another one but it was crushed by a bobcat load of asphalt b4 I could snag it.

I used to have one that I scrounged from an old furnace. Sat in my basement unused for a couple years. During a clean out I was in a hurry and told the guys to chuck anything that looked like trash. Well, they followed my instructions only too well, and out it went.
This January I did a whole house gut (plaster walls, woo hoo party time). Whole time I just grumbled "DOH! wish I had that darn fan; wish I had that darn fan . . . ." Dust clouds made the place look like it was on fire. ;-)
