For all you electrical engineers and master plumbers and electricians….
This article was passed along to me by a friend who read it and was concerned enough that he put a meter on his plumbing lines and found a 45mV reading. He installed a bare ground wire on the plumbing then ran it to the ground rod and then got a 0 Volt reading on the plumbing lines.
From my understanding, surrounding electrical fields in and around plumbing areas may induce a small volt reading in copper piping and that his grounding it merely zero’d it out of course, to me it’s no biggie.
But I read this article, VERY fascinating. I’d like to hear some top dog comments on this article. It’ll take about 10 mins to read but I wonder how many of us would have thought this?
