I am looking for some opinions on the Blum Tandem Box and the divider system. I am planning out my kitchen and these sure look great. The obvious downside is a large drawer could run $200+ each. Are they worth it? Experiences?
Thanks in advance

Blum is good stuff for sure. Is it "worth it"? Only you can make that call.

Everything fits, until you put glue on it.
It may seem like the chintzy way out, but I'm planning on using Ikea slides when I build my kitchen cabs. They're a paired down version of the Blum TandemBoxs AFAICT, and you do an entire cab for <$100. I wouldn't put it past IKEA to have rebranded the Blum Orga stuff as their RATIONELL line. Or at least made a cheaper copy of it.
I still might have a couple places where I'll need the real deal, so I'm half tempted to order a Blum TB rail set and an IKEA rail set and compare them. I know that the IKEA slides do not require the third (middle) row of system-32 holes like the TB do, and they don't have multiple slide drillings like the TBs do, but they are Blum at the end of the day.

Why don't you make your own boxes and use the Blum slides? The slides, full ext. w/blumotion are great and easy to work with. There was an article in a FWW last year where a WW'er made his drawers from baltic birch and used biscuits for the joinery. I bought the slides with everything needed to install them for under 35 bucks ea. Regards!
That was the original plan until I saw these and their divider system. It is a very nice system. I am not overally bothered by the cost, but it is important that they last. I am a little concerned about the front mounts. I know the blumotion slides are tried and true, but the drawer mount looks a bit weak in comparsion to a false front + box. I suppose Mike is right. Yet another personal preference. I think I am going to order a set and try it out.
I do have a cabinet maker that will get them wholesale for me, but I havent wanted to bother him yet. I am hoping that cost is a bit better.
