IdahoDon, I hope you read this.
I am back in the market for a design/build contractor. I was hoping you would recommend some folks. I am looking for someone who does quality work but understands the practicalities of renovating/adding to mid-priced homes. If it matters, we are within a historic district.

I also have in my mind that seemingly wealthy, but most terribly impoverished class of all, who have accumulated dross, but know not how to use it, or get rid of it, and thus have forged their own golden or silver fetters.

Hi James. Depending on the specifics there are probably some folks I can put you in contact with, depending on your timeline.
Being in the historic distric might impact the job, primarily if your house is considered "contributing" historically speaking, which essentially means it resembles how the house was originally built and is old enough to fit the definition of historic.
I'll shoot an email your way.
