Bonding agent for ice & water shield
I heard a rumor that there is a bonding agent allowing ice and water shield to stick better to verticle surfaces, such as around window and door openings. Can’t seem to google it up. Any ideas?

Does it need it?
Stuff we use sticks to anything that gets near it when warm. Best be right the first time. There is no second time.
I have seen J-rollers used to press it down firmly. We have used tin caps on the flexible flashing at window corners to keep the stuff in place.

Getting ice and water to bond to verticle osb surfaces in less than 80 degree weather is a chore. Nothing looks worse than explaining to clients that you use a great method to flash around window openings only to leave at the end of the day and have the ice and water hanging or at least gapping in between staples or green caps when you return.

I have used Henry 102 Aquaprime Primer to prep bare plywood for self-adhesive rolled roofing. I think that most other flashing products would adhear to it just as well. As I recall a gallon costs around $7.
Grace mentions Perm-A-Barrier¯ WB Primer in their product manual. Haven't used any primers myself, but could be looking at it soon on a built-up reroof job. I'll definitely be warming up the rolls before starting out, though.
The PAB Primer works well for adhering the Vycor Flashing
to verticle surfaces, Densglass or Particle board. Problem is
that it is water based which limits it's use in winter (45 and rising)
Beware, tho', it sticks up everything!
It should work on Ice & water sheild. The Vycor Flashing is
sold in 4", 6" 9" and 12" widths for flashing windows.
Hit it w/ a roller to press in place.

Thanks everyone.
I noticed there is now a grace vycor corner to simplify window flashing.
I should probably try some of the vycor strips, but then we'd be using two or three products, whereas now we simply keep a few extra rolls of ice and water for misc. purposes and cut as needed.
