Am considering buying a Genie 34/19 boom lift. It’s trailer mounted and electrically operated. Anyone have familiarity with this equipment?

Yes I used to sell them and they are decent equipment for the price and extremely handy..
Do be aware that a fat guy can overload them and that's before he carries any tools with him..
What are you planning on doing with it?
First: diet and exercise. Then, siding, roofing , painting and general repairs.
I tried using one once for about 15 mins and took it back and got a real boom. Might work well for some applications, but they're cumbersome to move and 34/19 is not much reach. The basket is small. You can fill it up with tools and mat'ls in no time.
I'd try one for a day or two (rent it if necessary) before I bought one. They look better on paper.

But you all knew that. I detailed it extensively in my blog.
"They look better on paper."Geeezz you have to paper train them too?
Genie 65 is the cats azz, but we rent. I would imagine they are big bucks. . . . Frenchy?

I'm sorry I don't have much respect for the Genie brand*. JLG is pretty much the cream and price wise once you get to apples to apples deals they all are about the same price.. I'd take a Grove next Genie would be above marklift (oops Terek) but not by a lot.
* in the self propelled versions.. of those trailer lifts it's about the best..
Careful they REALLY don't like cold weather.

Replace the hydraulic fliud in the system with ATF and they work nicely in the deep cold.. I thought everybody knew that trick..
Frenchy,
Never heard that idea, I'll give it a try.
