I’ve been looking at this saw here and there, got a good look and feel at JLC.
I really like this saw, and the upfront controls are just awesome.
The reviews at Amazon seem mixed, and these same reviews seem to pop up at just about every other website that reviews the saw.
I searched some threads here a bit but didn’t find much specifically about this saw.
Seems about $470.00 is the best I will find too.

Gary Katz has been using that saw for a couple years. He'd probably give you the straight poop.
Hubcap bought one at a JLC show a couple years ago (I think).
If these are the same model.
other than that, no real first hand experience. I've looked at them also and was shocked at some of the (many) controls. There's no more tap tap tap with the heel of your hand to fine tune a mitre setting............A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.

Thanks Cal,
I was on his site looking for plans for a homemade mitre saw stand that I heard someone mention at JLC.
I'll go back to his site and see what he is using in the pics.
If it's good enough for him..................

He's outfitted at the shows with it. All the video's too I believe. But if you asked him via email I think he would give you the non-official review.
Heavy poundage is the one turnoff. The 81/4 Hitachi isn't heavy but it is awkward going through doors. And you know how tite a van can get with dedicated tools. I don't know about you, but I'm approaching 10 pounds of #### in that 8 lb bag.........organized of course.A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.

I was just curious to see what Gary would come up with.

I've had the 4410 for almost two years; use it probably one day a week on average. I have been absolutely pleased with it, but it is heavy - 53lb.
I am waiting for the new gravity rise stand with 8" wheels to be released. That'll make it a lot easier to take to a jobsite.

Thanks for the review.
I saw that stand online someplace today, hhhhmmmmm.
How would you get that stand with the saw on it in and out of a van?
Or is it suitable for someone with a trailer and a ramp?[email protected]
"Roll it up to the van, set handle on van floor, lift wheeled end and slide 'er in. A lot easier than hoisting my wheeled compressor in.BruceT
I've had one for almost 3 years, and I love it.
It's very accurate, and easy to use. Some people seem to have problems with poor cutting, something about bent arbors.
It is heavy, but the up front controls are great. The fence is great also.
I wish I had a reason;
