Anyone having problems with the switch on the Colt?
I got a Colt (PR20 version) last week and have been using it to rout mortises for pocket door pulls. I am holding it sideways when routing, and chips of course fly everywhere.
I am experiencing a problem where the on/off switch likes to stay in the “on” position (needless to say–this is VERY BAD). I’ve checked for crud catching under the switch, but I’m wondering if I have a bad switch, or is it a bad design for what I’m trying to do.
I’m ready to take it back to Slowes for an exchange, but wanted to hear what others have experienced with this model.

I've had mine (EV) for several months now, used it to mortise a bunch of doors.... no problems yet.
Might contact Bosch with your serial number before you return it in case a bad batch of switches left the plant or somthin'.

i hate chiseling looks crappy, time consuming, and i certainly dont have the patience for it...
I use the PC 310 for latches and strike plate mortices, in conjuction with the PC templates; I have a dedicated DW laminate trimmer with the Bosch hinge template set-up. I leave them alone unless hanging doors. they work like a charm."The nearest thing to eternal life we will ever see on this earth is a governmental program" -Ronald Reagan
I built a template from a scrap of melamine - works like a charm and I can hang a new door in an old jamb in about an hour.Justin Fink - FHB Editorial
