BOSCH – Direct Connect conversion kit
Folks,
Found this on the Boschtools page. Seems they are or will offer a conversion kit handle that converts your Skill or Bosch worm drive into a direct connect version. Interesting.

Now, do I want to do that or get their new saw and sell my 77V?

Bought one of those B&D hedge trimmers years ago that had just the prongs sticking out of it. I thought those cheap SOBs finally figured a way to save whatever 6' of cord cost.

And the wired thing is, they charge more for the Direct Connect tools than the ones the come with a cord...huh?? And the benefit is that if I cut the cord, I won't have to replace the 6 footer, but instead my 25/50/75 footer...huh, huh??
Bosch is well positioned for the winner of the 2005 More for Less Award.
Wish I had one of the DCs. Want the ability to select my cord length. My 77 has a 75' cord as it is set up for new home construction with power poles, spider boxes, etc. It would reach the length of the house and then some.
However, this season I am doing surgery on termite damage in a condo complex. No job power. Lucky to find an outlet on a porch. If I am running the saw station, I don't want my 75' of cord plugged into a 100' of cord. The voltage drop for 200' of 12g, 13A, is 9.8V. For the saw station I would use the 25' cord.
