get that one too...Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming<!----><!----><!---->

Actually, I like the thing alot! I used it for the Kreg jig for screws and it's perfect, light and just enough torque putting the clutch on 9 for maple frames and 6 for pine. Put about 80 screws in over the day on same charge, sweet little tool and for the price, unbeatable.I kinda hope the come out with a drill chuck version with a little more speed.__________________________

Looks nice. How much?
All the girlies say that I'm really kind of fly for a white guy.
I was just hunting around looking for info to see what was comming up with bosch and hoping to find some info that my 14.4v and 18v bosch stuff was going to be interchange able with the litheon batteries.

I just saw the posters in Coatal Tool today in West Hartford, CT.
I asked the guys about them, he said that they'd ordered 80 units of the pistol grip style and they are sold out, expect another shipment tomorrow, also said some guy tried to buy 30 units online, couldn't do it because they needed store stock.
As for the ones you mentioned, they won't be available till August. I'll be waiting in line.

Amazon has them in stock now. At the JLC show they said they were coming out in June, so coastal probably just burnt through their original order.
Oh Baby it's spendin time.
Take a look at this hammer drill, I think they got the sweet spot on this one.

Did you see if they were going to use the 36v on the compound slide saw?
I have the pistol--and the angle on order. The pistol is sweet. My lead snatched it from me in seconds--I was a step ahead and had ordered two.
When i talked to them at JLC Live, they said that they would be coming out with an impact variant later in the year.

that 600 rpm is not really that great for what I'd be doing ( pop rivet holes and 5''-6" gutter screws) but for general screwin around, I bet it is pretty cool.

I've given both a fair amount of use, and the pistol grip is my favorite. It's basically a small version of a regular drill/driver, so there's no learning curve.
I can't get used to teh stick drive version simply because it's a bit more awkward to use. I can definitly see why some guys woudl love the stick version, but I would rather have the small pistol version because it's small enough to ride in my nail bags for occasional screwin'

Talked to a rep when I bought my pistol grip a couple weeks ago. He said its not out yet. I cant remember when he said it was coming but I think it was at least a month or two.
I've got both, and like 'em for everyday stuff. But if you're driving big screws in hardwood, they don't have the snot of an impact driver. On the other hand, they weigh nothing and perform quite credibly.

re: the angle driverWhen I first saw the picture of it, I figured I had to have it - perfect for cabinet/electrical, etc.I checked one out in person, and it's bigger than you think in real life. Has soft start which is kindof weird at first. Almost think the smaller pistol gril would be a better all around user. But if they made an impact version of the angle drill - that'd be worth the effort. To me, I think it's just a tad bit too large... and maybe a bit akward.JT
I saw a angle impact at HD rigid brand, looked tempting. I don't own any rigid tools but with a lifetime warranty. It's something I might consider.
That thing looks cool but also seems kindof heavy and clunky, plus do a little searching and it's pretty easy to hear a bunch of Ridgid warranty horror stories. If the rumor about Bosch making an impact version of the litheon angle driver than that would be the ticket.JT
A lifetime warranty don't mean alot if the tool is always broke. I currently have all my drills and impacts in Milwaukee, some of these are 20 yrs. old and have never had any service.
I initially bought the Rigid angle impact for $99... then took it back after a month when they came out with the angle impact AND drill for $129 - two batteries too!
It works great, but does not replace a regular impact driver. Has probably 1/2 or 2/3 the impact torque of my Ryobi (which lists as 1800 torque). It is super awsome at getting those hard to drive screws in though.Rebuilding my home in Cypress, CA

I need a 90 deg small drill for cab work and the like. I have a $150 gift cert at Lowes and they have the corded Milwaulkee for $139. Damn....what to do. I would simply have to try this thing out if I were to buy it. Do you know if the box stores are going to sell it? I'm not sure about the 600 rpm either, a little slow.
I think someone said they saw one at lowes but don't know it for sure.
i've seen it at lowes______________________________________________

Lowes has a 3.1 or something really small..I ain't sure they got the big toys yet..even so, 600 rpm?

Yeah, the 600 rpm just won't swing it. I'm a little loath also to get yet another different battery that in another 2 years will be an arm and a leg to replace or be obsolete. I won't need a small angle driver much and when I do it'll be worth the hassle to have a corded. Most of the time I have an extension right there anyhow. I have the 12v Mak impact gun which I use all the time and that little toy packs a punch and slips right into my pouch.
I just gave away a 12V DW Rt angle to the son in law when I got the 18 V set...coulda gave ya a freebie.
I'd stay corded IIWY..I did 2 kits and 4 baths a day cab installs back when in Pa. Power on site was never a problem. Here, well..thats another quandry.

Just got the pistol version - last one in stock at local HD. Slow speed didn't stop me from breaking the first drill bit; plenty of torque. The small size is awful nice.
