I bought the Bosch18v tool kit with the circ saw, recip saw, hammer drill, flashlight, and free jig saw on the advice of my tool guy (already have the power box). I'm a die-hard Bosch fan, but this is the first time I almost feel let down.
The Jig saw is the best thing in the whole kit in my opinion.
The circular saw is good but I ran out of juice after about 6' of cutting through some 1 1/4" cedar siding to install a ledger board. Switched batteries and got about the same amount on the next battery. other than that the saw is great, handles real well.
The sawzall is fine, but doesn't have quite as much power as I'd like it too. It's pretty slow in it's recriprocating (someone else may say this is a good thing, I'm not positive)
The hammerdrill is good, but it keeps randomly slipping from drill to hammerdrill while I'm trying to drill. I've gotta take it back in and see if I can swap it out, or if it's just a bad feature of the drill.
Love the jigsaw, but I haven't had a cordless jigsaw before, so maybe it's just puppy love. It does work just about as well as their corded jigsaw which I think is hands down the best one out there.
Love the powerbox, but I think you've seen that in another thread.
That all being said. That's a great price for the whole kit and caboodle. If I get the slipping hammerdrill clutch figured out I'll be a lot happier about my kit. I still use my corded wormdrive saw, and corded sawzall when I really need the power, so these are more auxillary for my situation.
I'd probably jump at the chance to pick that kit up, even knowing the shortcomings of the one's I've got.
AS STATED PRICE WAS 444.00. I ot the set today last week they did not have the jig saw included,I used the drill quite a bit today didnt seem to slip from hammer to drill so maybe you just got a bad one.
Plus $25 off of this reconditioned set from Bosch...this is the route I'd have gone if DeWalt hadn't thrown me all those free tools last week : )~

I love Bosch corded tools, but I find their battery stuff to be under-powered and heavy.
Check out the Makita 18v Lithium tools. Their impact driver weighs about half as much as Bosch and will outrun it by far. New Makita 18v Lithium kit includes circ saw, recip saw, angle grinder, hammer drill, impact driver, flashlight and nylon carry bag with wheels and handle for $699 at Ganahl Lumber - could be cheaper online.
