I just bought a bosch worm drive from amazon for $202 minus 25 coupon discount and it has a 25 dollar rebate. No sales tax and no shipping. Seemed like a good time to replace the old makita hypoid saw.
I go to fill out the rebate form and they want my telephone #, my email address and my occupation.
Does this info seem necessary for a rebate or do you think I will get a bunch of spam and telephone solicitations as a consequence???
$25 isn’t worth the aggravation of being added to a marketing database.
Should I send it in accurate or alter the phone number and email to make it useless?
Thanks for any input
Karl

I've had the Bosch for a few years, after 14 years of using ONLY Makita hyphoids, and I still miss them . . . plus my Bosch eats cords!

Well, Larry Huan said the Bosch was the best saw he'd ever used, and you actually see it in the background of articles he's in, so I figured, since Larry is God, I must just need to get used to the Bosch.

Ole: "Naa, I'll just hold her by the neck 'til she gets used to it . . ."

I have always wanted to try one of those mak. hypnoids, but with the bosch and a milwaukee tilt lok, I think I have what I need.

Thanks for the idea. I went back and changed a digit on my phone number and email just in case. Only problem is that the phone number I submitted probably is in use by someone else who will now get the telemarketers. Your time and temperature solution is a good one, no victims except the telemarketers.Karl
You misread the rebate card.
They asked for "a" phone number, not your phone number.
