Has anyone found a good aftermarket zero clearance insert for the Bosch 4000?
I have Bosch’s but that thing is so flimsy it is about worthless.
Any help would be appreciated. It really helps the dust collection with one in place. I spent the morning choking on mdf dust.

I made mine. Took about 20 minutes with a jigsaw and a belt sander.
I made one for mine too...does help keep the dust down and cuts better and safer too.
How thick is the Bosch?
I use stop signs and lexan for some of the newer thin type of plates..I miss the old 1/2" thick plates of my old saw, I had a few for molding heads, and different dado widths out of Baltic Ply wood, but the newer saws are a pain being so thin.
Street sign alum is awesome stuff, I always have few hunks laying around the shop for jigs and templates.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

The Bosch is a fairly thick plate, IIRC around 3/8"It has a few places on the underside that have to be mortised out to fit over some metal tabs and on the outfeed end it needs to key in under the table so it does not climb the blade and get hurled. I used a small dowel sticking out of the outfeed end of the plate to grab under the table.
In my exp. ,thick is better for sure, I know of the dogs ( tabs) that you mean. They can be good for leveling screws to rest on, small allen set screws work good.
