It is on page 351, 3rd paragraph of the 1987 UOMHTC (Uniform Outter Mongolian Hut & Tent Code). I hope that is the one that you are using.
HINT, HINT, HINT.
what,
you had my hopes up,
I dont have that book
and I guess I cant take the hint
as those pages in the unfirom building code relate to Gas shut off valves
next real answer please
The hint is WHAT IN THE H*LL CODE ARE YOU USING?

There is a link to what we use here in Kansas, from the 97 UBC.
thank you very much, that is a lot of help.
not meaning to belittle your help. a lot of that information I knew, and maybe I can figure out what the inspectors wants, as he is asking locations as to in relation to windows, etc.
but your information is helpfull, I printed it and stuck it in my binder
so thatnk you again for the help, thanks
where the question is coming up is
we have a single story house. hae a section of glass that is a 12' wide sliding glass door system (oxxo). it is within 2' of a corner.. Then within 2' of that starts a window,5040 ox.
so he was saying, just how are you bracing all of this
he didnt like my answer "magic"
