Hi,
I’m currently building a deck with Brazilian cherry. The wood will be finished with penofin. Wondering if the cut ends need to be sealed the way you would with ipe to prevent splitting. if so, can they just be trated with the same penofin, or should another product be used?
Thanks

Anchor Seal is preferable for end grain.
First I heard of it ten years or so back, Ipe' is Brazilian cherry......
I think Brazilian cherry is Jatoba (Hymenaea courbaril). Ipe is also called Brazilian walnut. Iv'e done Jatoba floors and worked on one Ipe' deck and they are very different woods
