Ok, so we are looking into an addition for our Brick Rancher. Is their a rough guide to what real brick walls cost for labor?? Say for example $xx a square for labor, or dollars per hundred laid? I’m talking about normal residential construction, ground level/easy access in the Wilmington De area. I’m looking at something like 800 Sq foot exterior walls.
Thanks, Bill

Bill-
It really depends- is scaffolding needed? How many windows to work around? Are they toothing into existing brick? How many corners? And so on...
It could run $7.00/SF, or it could run $13.00/SF- also, 800 SF isn't too much area, so it's a "small" job for many masons.

I am out of your area considerably (KY) so I would expect higher rates for you. Brick labor rates around here are in the $250.00 tp $325.00 per 1000 range. Depends, as mentioned, on the details. A good mason and helper can lay a 1000 brick a day for simple running bond. The least expensive brick I have seen latey is about $185.00 per thousand and can go up to near the $300.00 per thousand range. Then add the the cost of the sand, mortar and brick ties.

Thanks guys!
That is the kind of stuff I'm looking for
