We have an odd size built in wall oven. It is in brick. Need 6″ more height for a new oven. Cannot take the brick out…ties into exterior brick. Anyone think cutting into the bottom portion of the cutout would work? Soft louisiana clay brick…Thoughts?

It's hard to picture what you mean. If the brick the oven is in is tied to the exterior brick, how is there enough depth in the wall for an oven?
Only you know the structure. Be concerned about load walls etc.
Removing the lower row of bricks would probably work by digging, drilling, or chiseling it out to remove the bricks in the lower layer. Sawing is an option but the dust could be overwhelming in a closed kitchen. Try cutting a brick outside with a grit balde before you cut in the house. Cutting concrete and cement block in place I have done. Thank God it was a garage. and not in a house. You can fill a room with dust in the air in 30 seconds of cutting.
I wonder about the working height of the oven. The purpose of a wall oven is to have the goods come out at waist height. Hope your wife is short enough that it isn't a problem.
