I dropped my battery drill yesterday and broke the handle from the motor housing. This is an 18 volt Mikita. Any ideas on repair? I paid a good bit of money for this. It is a clean break and goes back togather smoothly. I just do not know if it can be repaired.

Did the same with a 14v Makita.
I melted it back with a 40w soldering iron and smoothed the repair with a file, then a drop od superglue just to smooth it more.

I dont know about makita but I had the same thing happen to a dewalt drill. I was able to order a replacement case for the drill. Unfortunetly had every tool I owned stolen before the case came in, so I cant tell you if putting it back together was a pain or not.
