hi everyone figured i would cut the grass before it rained again . anyway the mower hit a rock and sent it through my neighbors window !!the window is a double hung caradco ( upper sash ) does anyone know what it would entail to fix this ?? do i need a new upper sash ?? and if so how does the sash get removed ?? any help would be greatly appreciated

lot's of sash can be repaired by a good glazier...... even sash with insulated glass
Generally, if the sash is the type that flips out for cleaning, it will come out. Specific mechanisms vary considerably.
Caradco's are one of the easiest to fix. You need to know the thickness of the double pane, it depends on the age. I have a caradco dealer in town and can order the new galss directly from them, maybe you can too.
There should be a screw in each corner of the sash, remove the 4 screws take the sash apart remove the double pane and put the new one in. sometimes a new gasket is needed also, again depends on the age
