Hello, I am going to build a modular home near albany NY. Is it possible to excavate and do all the site prep when the soil is frozen, like in february? If I can then I plan to use the Superior Walls foundation and then plop the mod on. Is this a possible plan?
Thanks

Depending on what you have for an excavator and what soil conditions you have, it is possibleto difg a hole, but to build on frozen of freezing soil is a gauranteed way to have foundation failures from settlement and cracks. This gives you leaks belowand problems with the upper floors. You would have to time things critically to have ground heating or insulation blankets on hand immediately after the excavation to prevent frozen ground.
