Someone asked me to build them a bar in their den. Anybody out there done this and have any suggestions about construction, stain, style, etc?

This website has a bunch of bars that I find inspiring. I particularly like the pub style. You can pick out and copy elements to suit your application and clients taste.

Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Be sure to use top-shelf tequila. :-)
Couldn't resist......
A few years ago I sent for Wallace and Hine's catalog that was advertised in FHB. It was a real nice catalog with all the bar components you would want for a high end bar set up. Raised panel, carved peices, rails, etc. I'm sure I've seen their ad latey.
