We are planning to remodel our basement and include a built in(wood) bar… We cannot seem to find any plans or designs. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Cheryl, are you doing this yourself or are you looking for plans to take to a cabinet maker?
The home-bar has been relegated to the likes of: "99 home projects you can do", probably for good reason... like the velvet Elvis portraits, and neon naked lady.
I'd start by making a list of what you want, the materials you like, and then I'd head out to a few bars with my camera, early... when you can see the bar, not just the patrons. Photograph the features that closely match your "want list". Now either you, an architect/designer, or a cabinet maker can come up with plans and a material list.
*Cheryl, this may be a bit more than you had in mind, but check out this site: http://www.whbars.com Ralph
*Cheryl, Rotate Guinness and Newcastle through the main tap. Have a variety of Belgian Trappist Brews in bottles. Hit up our friends to the North to send some of their favorites.Add in Laphroaig and a bristle dart board (not too near the bar...OSHA safety standards ).Set up your bar this way and guests will be happy to sit on cinder blocks. That aside...consider planning your own bar, as George wrote. What features, how you drink, what you drink, how many guests at a time, etc. Provide good sound insulation in the ceiling to reduce sound transmissions to the floor above. If you go stain-grade with dark wood (pub feel) don't skimp on the lighting. Dark-paneled rooms tend to be underlit. You can always dim or have several lights off, but it's nice to be able to brighten the place up as desired. What type of beer-soaked flooring to you intend to install? Consider a separate beverage fridge off to the side for the under-age crowd.I've always custom built, so I'm not familiar with stock plans. Coming up with a workable plan isn't tough. However, don't stray far from "standard" dimensions (bar height, stool height, foot rail, etc) unless you and other primary users are dramatically "non-standard".To get on with useful (I hope?) info, here's a starting point for you. Some may be good, some may be useless, but they may lead to a supplier or contractor in your region. Best of luck...

Ralph, thank you so much. This is exactly what I was looking for. Cheryl.
*Hi, Ok, I've got the dart board... I find a mis- throw helps keep the bartender on his toes. We have natural slate flooring (12" tiles)... beer and a big dog that slobbers- add to it's character. The link you sent was/is helpful. I'm not planning on dark wood.. and your thoughts on standards is a good one. Thank you again for your help.Cheers. Cheryl
