building inspectors on the take?

I heard rumours that Chicago building officials won’t even get out of their cars/ trucks unless the superintendent deliveres him/ her an envelope. No cash…no inspection

    Can't comment on Chicago...

    Best kind of inspection is a "gang related inspection".

    Also known as a "Drive by inpsection", (never gets out of the car!)

    Heard that one from my local inspector... he said it works best on houses with a circular drive.

    (I wish his sense of humor had lasted....)
