Richard - you ask about something close to my heart. What do you want to know? Here are some refrences to get you started -
FHB issue #18 - "Making Window Sash" by John Leeke
"Handcrafted Doors & Windows" Amy Zaffrano Rowland - published by Rodale Press - great for inspiration, not much for nuts and bolts
"Windows & Skylights" - Taunton Press - a compilation book of FHB articles
"Ed Knox' Window Book" - self published gem of a book covering the nuts and bolts of window making by a man who spent his life repairing and building wood windows. I got the book from the "Builders Booksource" in Berkely CA.
Feel free to fire away with any specific questions you might have. - jb
*hey JB: I gotta ask b b,f+s ?is that like Blodgett, father & son ?anyway, I got pub's #1 & #3, how much did you pay for the Ed Knox , should I have that, the only sash I see us making is custom storm windows or replacement sash for reproduction/restoration.
*The Ed Knox book was under 20.00. Very cool book just as an inspiration of writing, but there is a lot of good info in there too. I like tools, but I love books. I've built quite a few windows through the years and really enjoy it. Doors too. Not many folks do it, any more. belchin', fartin' + scratchin'
