Anyone want to reccomend a CAD software that works well with Linux?
I have wined and dined sketchup but it remains dead in the water, any reccomendations out there? Don’t need autocad power but want something to run native or well.

You tried Sketchup using Wine? I could get it to install and run, but I only get a black screen. Others seem to have good luck with it on http://wiki.winehq.org/GoogleSketchup . I think it is a graphics card problem in my case.
If you just need 2d, I use QCad: http://www.qcad.org
You can get a free version, or for a few bucks an upgraded version. Works fine for floor plans and the like, great community and support.

think I really "need" a 3d version to sell ideas to the "Design Committee". Amazing how fast they get used to really nice drawings.
Will research getting Wine ( a windows environment simulator) to run Sketchup or maybe TurboCad.Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm a huge advocate of Ubuntu, but for Cad I split my hard drive and installed XP ........Wine is trying, but for me it is nothing but a royal pain in my ####.Someday I'm sure the software company's will break the Microsoft bubble and open up to Ubuntu/Mac .........The Woodshed Tavern Backroom
