Started the kitchen remodel, cabinets have been ordered, etc. things are in motion. Part of the plan is to remove the old soffitt directly over the new semi bay window, bump the soffitt out a bit over the new range,(for that boxed “hearth” look,) and leave it,(but dress it up,) over the new wall cabinets. The idea is to reuse the existing crown, add some more detail, and try making the soffitt look more like part of the crown/cabinet detail. You guys were great with my TV cabinet, so any tricks to share on this one? TIA!

If you can buy/reproduce the crown, then go for it. If that's going to be a problem; then you need a new plan.
