can I plumb my shower drain this way?

I’m in the process of rebuilding my shower floor after removing a defective (and mis-installed) solid pan. Due to the misinstallation, a one-piece floor pan is no longer an option, so I’m using the Schluter Kerdi system. I’m getting ready to seal everything up, but have a question.
The ABS 2″ shower drain goes into the P-trap (i have access from both above and below) which goes into the horizontal line to the main drain. My concern is that once I anchor the Kerdi drain into the shower base, I’ll have two immovable perpendicular ends to attach each end of the p-trap to.
So, am I worrying about nothing, or should I do something to ensure I can hook up the P-trap to both ends of the run?

don't wait to install your trap
Run your p-trap with stubbed up 2" pvc at desired shower drain location. The Schluter drain flange glues to the stub up once it is cut to proper height after setting mud-set (or Schluter pre-formed foam) base. Schluter provides directions as well as guages to get the height correct. The kierdi membrane then gets thinset to the bonding flange of the drain with unmodified thinset. Finally, the drian grate gets set with the tile.
