Can’t use a typical shower curtain here
1. How would I keep this shower/tub water tight? The 14/12 pitch does not allow the use of a normal shower curtain. My idea is to use a “privacy” piece of plastic adhered to the tub, wall and ceiling allowing ~ a 24″ opening (indicated by board). This opening would have a shower curtain. How would I securely mount the plastic to the tub rim and tiles. Any suggestions or other ideas?
2. How would you cover this window to make it watertight too? My idea is to use the privacy plastic and adhere it to the tile. Should I attach it without drilling into the tiles? When I eventually rehab the washroom I will install glass block but for now I need a good temporary fix.

Here is how I did my shower. The oval rod takes 2 curtains, one on either side of the supports. By overlapping them slightly when pulled around, virtually no water escapes.

Your idea is great and your bathroom is very nice. The picture saved me a lot of work too. Thank you,

Hello FastEddie:
Would you tell me how to shrink down the file to 150KB? I am a comuter wannabe too.

Why can't you cut a regular shower curtain so that it stays fixed, over the angled protion, and slides over the rest ?
The world's population has more than doubled in the last 40 years
We have enough youth, already.
What we need is a fountain of common sense.
those pics are too big to get a good look ...
but I did what U suggested in a shower with an angled interior.
mounted a rod inside the tiled doorway ... one side was plumb ... the other angled.
I glued 2 3/4" thick pieces of azec together ... made a square block ...
then lopped off one corner to match said angle. Drilled and screwed that block to the angled wall ... so now we had 2 plumb surfaces to mount the rod.
I attached a coupla white / plastic coated cuphooks down the shorter wall ....
and the HO got a regular shower curtain ... and poked and gromitted some holes down the side ... folded the top corner at a matching angle ... cut it and poked a coupla more holes.
They simply leave that side attached ... and slide the section on the rod.

I think I am going to do that. Thanks for the tip.

You are most welcome.Glad I could finally be of obvious help to someone.=0)I'm gonna have to get a bigger hat. Just picture me in a commercial saying, "He fixed his curtain, and AH HAYULPED !!!";o)
Life doesn't often leave a very easy trail to follow.
Just get a compression curtain rod and place it between the two verticle surfaces on either side if the window. Cut the curtain to just below the window apron, fast and can be very attractive, open and close as needed.
Thanks for the tip. I may use it.

How about a compression curtain hanger that you can twist out? Cut this to adjustable length of the opening and necessary height, and then see if you can replace one rubber foot with rubber caps for furniture legs and cut it to the angle. Then epoxy the cap to the rod end and use good quality double stick tape so the angle cut doesn't slide around on you. The tape and the pressure, I think, will hold the rod in place. Then cut the portion of the curtain to match the angle and attach the unused portion of the curtain with suction cups to the tiles and you don't have to drill anything. Those light weight curtain rod with spring in it is a good idea, only make sure the curtain hangs below the sill to protect the wood windows. I did this myself. I used an old shower curtain and "stitched" it with superglue. I even made a bottom weight with aluminum rod so it doesn't blow around. I like the tile job, although I couldn't believe the angles on first glance.
Hope this helps.
