I need a car pad under my truck to catch the snow and slush since my garage does not have a drain. I have seen such pads advertised for around $200.00 which seems pricey.
I was thinking of ripping 2 X 4’s for the edge but I need suggestion on what material to use to collect the snow/slush/water.

Try a large rubber garage squeegee. Less money, a bit more work, but it gets the slush outta garage quick and neat.

leave the can's and van outside all winter and fill the garage with old scrap materials ...
that's what I do ...
works nicely to keep the slush out of the garage?

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
Warning! Be cautious when taking any framing advice from me. Although I have a lifetime of framing experience, all of it is considered bottom of the barrel by Gabe. According to him I am not to be counted amongst the worst of the worst. If you want real framing information...don't listen to me..just ask Gabe!
It goes under the wall between the second and third bay where my shot is and freezes. We have received somewhere around forty inches of snow in the last week and the garage becomes one large skating rink.
