I finished an expensive renovation a few years ago, and now I find an occasional carpenter ant wandering through the house. (New Hampshire). I am told that this is the tip of the iceberg and that there are thousands where these came from. I have read the basic recommendations and will proceed forthwith, because these suckers are not going to devour my investment! Does feeding and then trailing them to their nest, work?
Can they be found by sequentially exploring likely spaces, or do they hear your footsteps and book before you can “dust” them? Any suggestions?
Thank you.
