Might anyone know of a good process for the removal of the nails used in the applying of carpet tack strips to a concrete slab?
Thanks

There's a constant source of clean water for you to use, and all you have to do is collect it.

Pop as many as you can with a flat bar. Angle grinder for the rest.
Or maybe one of these (the pullers, not the hammer):

Everything fits, until you put glue on it.

Guess there's no miracle solution.

Rip up/off the wood strips with pry bars. Whatever nails remain *might* snap off using the pry bar edge and a smack with a hammer. Wear eye/face protection.

When all else fails, Dremel with carbide cutting disk.
Fein multimaster with the metal cutting blade.
Be someone is going to say it.
REALLY REALLY BIG GIANT size Acme electromagnet.
I find a sharp yank with a good old fashioned crow bar (think leverage) usually does the trick.

Rez, my methodical method................?
drive a wonderbar under the tack strip at the nail, push down-up it pops. Move over to next one, tap in the wonderbar, push down.
You can work up a pretty good rythmn.
The wonderbar needs to have the right bend-some no name brands or one you've put too much torque to in the past don't cut it. the short bent end hits b/4 the nail pops.

Well, I was dropping the ceiling and wanted the strips up before to ease the cleanup so I just pried them up
thus now the nails are protruding there all on their own.
Wonder if they were shot in? Might just take a hammer to them and see if they'll break.
I also wonder if they'll be raccoon turds in heaven.
Bang sideways, they usually snap.
oh yeah, watch the eyes. Our wirerims usually cover the protection=but nicks in the lenses suck big time.

If you knock them from the sides in opposing directions, the concrete will spall and they come right out.
