As a carpenter/builder we are crazy to own an iPhone. having said that, I now fully use it. My own experience, the hard shell, "agent 18" slide over case. the one with the tree logo has worked best for me.. I can still get it into my carhardt pocket.

A year ago I had mine for 2 weeks and dropped it on a concrete crawl space floor, fell out of my pocket, while crawling. Cracked screen. (Bought new one at discount from sympathetic Apple.) then bought this case after trying others. Since I have had this case I have dropped it a couple of times and been OK.
I've got this one

It's been great, but I'm not dragging it through a jobsite. It has, however, protected DW's iphone and she's a bit prone to dropping things. So far so good.
