Caulking for Metal Corner on Beveled Cedar Ciding
Hello,
I’ve been working in various construction jobs (I’m a framer now), and I have recently been trying to get my own side business going. I recently re-framed the front of a clients house, installed new windows, and beveled cedar siding with metal corners. Everything’s been good so far, but my client’s brother did a quality check on my work. As far as I know the main criticism is that I did not caulk the corners. From my understanding since the corners lapped each other, caulking isn’t necessary, but I’m open to being wrong.
With all that said, is caulking necessary? I’ve attached a photo of the corner piece I used. Thank you!
