About to do the annual deck restoration/cleanup and wondering what to use. I have used Cabot and Behr in the past and quite honestly am tired of stripping stain every year. What is the best clear product that shows off cedar? I have also used Thompson’s water seal which looks good for a while but the sun just bakes everything I’ve used. Anyone used linseed or tung oil products with U.V. additives?

One important thing to understand is that you shouldn't try for a "natural" finish. "Natural" is the most unnatural state for wood -- it only exists for a few months after the wood is cut and planed.
