I am working on an old Craftsman-style house in Coronado, CA. (I am the homeowner.) I am having a problem finding replacement cedar shingles that are marked by the saw blade (I estimate it to be a 3.5′ diameter saw blade). The shingle is 7 1/8″ long, 3/8″ thick. I have been told this marking is the result of using an old blade that is wearing out. I have seen similar markings on many older buildings here in San Diego County. I need two bundles of these shingles. If anyone has any suggestions or leads for assistance, I’d very much appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks.

Not only do I not have any leads for you, I also have absolutely no clue what you are talking about.

*Pete, I think he's looking for a 3 1/2 foot blade for his skill saw.Gabe
*Thanks for the laugh Gabe, it's been one o' those days. AFterall, everybody knows Homer Depot quit carrying those 3 1/2 footers years ago when they switched to the 5 footers for more accuracy (ya know how hard it used to be keeping your skillsaw running in a straight line with those old 3.5's)Pete
*hey chip.... the best yur gonna be able to do is buy the species you want (red cedar or white cedar) and cut them off at the appropriate butt thickness (3/8)then trim them for length...they will NOT look like the ones that are there.. but they will look appropriate.. after a couple years they will weather in to more or less match their neighbors......i wouldn't agonize over this..cedar shingles are cedar shingles...many of the ones you find in the bundles will have saw marks from the shingle mill...i don't even know if they still use circular saws for cutting tapers.. i thought it was mostly done with band saws now..b but hey , whadda i no?
*If it's that important to you, send them to me, I'll make the marks for you for $13.00 per shingle and ship them back. You'll have to pay shipping. Just have the money wired to my account.Where did I leave that 3-1/2' blade?
