I’m replacing an old cedar fence and I’ll be installing 1 X 6 X 6′ pickets
Last night I looked at 1 X 6 X 6′ cedar at HD and noticed the price of
$3.79 per board.
I also looked at 1 X 6 X 6′ Pressure Treated Fencing and it’s priced quite a bit cheaper at only $1.59 per board.
Does anyone have experience using the cheaper stuff?
Were you happy with it?
Thanks for any input.

When I was in So texas, almost every fence was pt. And the boards were a little thin, closer to 1/2" than 3/4". Put it up wet, jam them together and fasten with screws. Works well. When I moved, the fence I put up 14 yrs earlier was still standing with no replacement boards.
