The other day I posted a question as to whether using Home Slicker under cement fiber board and cedar shingles was a good idea or overkill. The responses persuaded me to use the product, and it is applied to half the house. A new carpenter arrived this morning and said installing cement fiber siding over Home Slicker and nailing tightly as you must for fiber cement siding will create a wavy appearance. I called the Home Slicker technical line and they said not to overnail. So I am in a quandry. I need advice and certainly any responses from those of you who have used Home Slicker behind cement fiber board. Also will I have any problems installing cedar shingles over Home Slicker?

I don't see shingles mentioned.
