I have a home with cement fiber siding (Certainteed). The siding was installed with one shop-painted coat of paint about one year ago. The house is heated with a propane fired boiler which is direct vented out the house wall to a termination vent. I have noticed that the cement fiber siding is starting to deteriorate(paint is failing, cement fiber is delaminating) around the termination vent. Has anyone encounter this situation before? Do I need to extend the pipe out futher or up to the roof?
