I am an elementary school art teacher who has been asked to research, design, plan and implement the construction of a large ceramic tile flag on a painted cement block wall in our school cafeteria in which everyone (800+) places a tile into the design. I can figure out the numbers using graph paper but I have several technical questions.
My questions:
1. Do I need to prime the wall with Kilz or something first?
2. What is the best type of adhesive to use on a vertical surface? Note: I have to use non-toxic products because of the age of my students.
3. Is grout necessary? If so, what product is safest and best?
4. Should it be sealed? If so, what product is safest and best?
Thanks for the help.
