Hello all, just a quick note. Why is DeWalt the only compay that offers a charging radio? I’ve looked around and found no posts, maybe I’m outta the loop. Thanks

I heard that the charging circuits can interfere with the radio reception.
I don't know if that's really true, but I do know my Milwaukee radio sounds TONS better than my buddy's DeWalt, and pulls in the stations much better, to boot.
The bosch radio charges as well. Dewalt had the patent on radio chargers and maybe still does. I think Bosch was able to get around that cause their radio is a cd player and an extension outlet box.

I've always heard the same as Shep. I know with my old regular radio, if I ever charged a cordless tool battery near it, 90% of the stations would have some interference.
At times, my Bosch is charging a battery in the radio and has a couple more external chargers plugged into it as well...never noticed any change in radio function.
The Dewalt with the charger is nice to have sometimes, but having the port on the back is DUMB!! I mean, who has the back of the radio pointing at them? Half the time I have to pick up the radio, lay it on its face, and swap batteries. Please....
