hi, this is my first post. I have a perplexing problem that needs to be solved. I am working on an A frame house, vintage 1975, that is leaking in hard rain. It leaks at the point where the brick chimney meets the ceiling. I suspect that it is leaking through the mortar — a hose test seems to clear the roof as the culprit. All the mortar has been caulked and the brick waterproofed thoroughly. I am told that when it rains for an extended period that more of the brick will “bleed” water — not drip, but just appear wet in the mortar. Well, the brick is now dripping because it is raining hard, right where the chimney inside meets the roof. Any suggestions? The chimney is capped. BL69
