Wow. How did you protect that nice red paint job while the rest of the wall was going in?
Blue tape.Actually, I wouldn't even have tried.That's what touchup paint and small brushes are for.;o)
Yeh... That'll work.
We covered the red paint with kraft paper, installed the drywall and circle, and then used an xacto knife to cut around the square and circle. Both the square edges and the edges of the circle are lifted slightly off of the red part, which allowed us to cut slightly behind the visible edge. We then carefully caulked the edges and touched up with white paint.
