I went to a trade show and saw these clamps that allow you to make up a door or window trim and clamp the miters. I think it was called the ClamClamp ? The inventor was at the show but I can’t remember his name. Does anyone have any info on this ? If so please post. Thanks

Local, here's a link to a past discussion of those thingees. Joe H

*Bulldog - Jim Chestnut apparently invented them and sells them direct. He sent me one last year to try out and it works great, but it does leave some pretty big holes (about the size of a 6d finish nail)in the sides of the stock you're clamping. Still, I have used mine quite often, and they are very close to the top of my "tools to buy" list. I keep thinkin' he'll develop a set with abrasive paper instead of nails though.
*Someone sent that idea into FHB (I think). They used regular spring clamps and threaded a regular drywall screw into each jaw. On sale, you can get those spring clamps at a buck a piece. How much do the Clam Clamps cost?
*They're about 45 bucks apiece Ralph. But they are way better than spring clamps. They have a row of 4 sharp pins on each side of the joint, and the cam action really gives good control of the pressure you apply. Hey. Isn't it past your bedtime?
*Thanks for the info.
