I’ll be repainting the garage this year, which has wood clapboard siding. The corners are finished with galvanized steel corners rather than corner boards or miter joints. Well, most of them are. A half dozen or so are missing or damaged. Any idea if I can still get replacements? If so, where?
Thanks!

This was on here a while back. I think the consensus was to make them.
I don't know what part of the country you're in. But if I'm thinking of the same corner caps you're talking about I just go to my normal lumber yard, or one of the sheet metal places around and they have them in different lengths to match the reveal of the clapboard siding with a pre-punched nail hole at the top. If I'm patching them back in I just stick a bead of con-ad behind and a good sealant along both sides and slip it into place.

A couple of people found them on the net. Can't recall the right search term, though. "Tin corners" is the vernacular, but that won't find them.
Ah, here we are -- "siding corners": http://store.dunnlum.com/builderwire20/common/store/CategoryItemGrid.aspx?categoryid=694
Jim,
Those are readily available through my local yard.
Which to me means someone is manufacturing them , just a matter of tracking them down.
