How can I clean a sticky adhesive from my bathroom, linoleum floor? The builder attached a strip of plastic where the bathroom linoleum meets the tub. But, I removed the plastic strip because it was getting dirty. Now the adhesive is very gummy and difficult to peel off.

Goof-off; but be sure it doesn't eat up the linoleum. Try a test piece first. Maybe just some lable remover is more gentle, or simple green , or fabuloso. or tsp, the list goes on. If you do find ggof-off don't get the petro-chemical one, get the water based edition. Anything with petro-chemicals could eat your floor.
Not Goof-Off -- it's for removing latex paint. Use Goo-Gone or one of the other purpose-made adhesive removers. But do test an "inconspicuous" area first, like behind the can.

Try Bestine first, a gum/adhesive remover and less volatile than paint thinner.
green rubbing alcohol (not clear) and a little elbow grease
Wmy green.I had never heard of it. But found this."There are several types of rubbing alcohol preparations. Some are clear and contain isopropyl alcohol. Some are green and contain oil of winter green and isopropyl alcohol. The addition of the oil of wintergreen not only gives the alcohol its green color, but masks the smell with an attractive wintergreen aroma — much like candy. Both preparations are dangerous, but clear rubbing alcohol is the safer alternative. The green preparation is much more attractive to children and much more toxic if swallowed.".

Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
Hmmm, thats a new one on me. thanks for that info.
The reason I use is because my wife got some red primer (rust-oleum) on white carpet. I thought we would have to replace it. but my mom-in -law told us to use it. I had some clear but it didnt work as well.
Since, Ive used it on all kinds of things including glue on vinyl. Its cheap and it works.
I'll keep in mind the toxidity from now om though.
I suspect the wintergreen has a mild petroleum solvent effect that complements the solvent effect of the alcohol.

Never heard of the green alch. But it sure sounds good. Thanks for the info. Those other cleaning products are way too expensive any way.
Yeah, reminds me of Scotty in that Star Trek episode.
