I’m looking for suggestions on how to clean tile and grout. My wife insists that the best method she found was using muriatic acid and water. I know that’s not safe and a flooring rep. once told me it’s not good for the grout. Please advise.
Also I had read an article in fine homebuiding about a wood floor installer in Florida I believe his business was in Sarasota please advise which issue it was and what the name of the business owner and email address is. I am going to install a engineered wood floor over concrete and I’m looking for advise.
Thanx in advance

As for your grouting question, if you fail to receive the needed data on Breaktime, here is a link to a ceramic tile forum that may be able to help you. http://www.johnbridge.com/vbulletin/index.php

Muriatic will destroy the grout and if the tile is a natural stone, it can etch that as well.
A safe way to clean grout is to use a neutral cleaner like Oxyclean. Mix it at twicw the recommended strength. Scrub it into the grout with a stiff brush and remove the dirty water with a wet vac so you pull the dirt off the grout.
If needed, repeat a second time at normal strength.
