Hi everybody,
My wood clapboard house was recently painted ( last Summer ) with white acrylic paint. It has insect stains around the front entrance that are very difficult to remove without damaging the paint. Does anyone have ideas about this. Thank you.

I know that "flyspecs", generally produced from the poop of houseflys, are about like tar and take a petroleum solvent and a bit of soaking to remove.

Are you sure they are insect stains?
Artillery fungus is often mistaken for insect stains.
