Yeah, in my local HD they are having some yellow tag clearance. Saw some backsaw for about $1.50. Normally somewhere in the $10-15 range. Have to look hard for those little yellow tags though.
I also saw the Ridgid miter saw stand that everyone likes so much marked down from the sale price of $99 to $74.99.
I already have one and love it and would get a second but am done with collecting extra 'stuff'. Gotta spend the next 20 or so years getting rid.
C'mon Jer, you know that is a sweet deal so back there and get one. I mean you can put this or that on there.
So what if you still have an unopened one sitting in yer garage. snorK*
be 20 years ain't so bad The sides were left shelving, and not stoned; but the sun having never shone on them, the sand still keeps its place. It was but two hours' work. I took particular pleasure in this breaking of ground, for in almost all latitudes men dig into the earth for an equable temperature. -Thoreau's Walden

And another . . . a customer of mine picked up a PC laminate trimmer for $20 at HD. Guy in the tool dept. said they had a couple of them, and they weren't even in their computer anymore. My customer even went back to the store and got one for me. :)

I got a couple of deals out of Depot. First I bought a recon router, marked $60 but missing a wrench so i talked them down to $35. I get to the register and the price comes up at $36.66. Jokingly I tell the checker that I cant buy it for $36.66 (cause of the 666) so she gives me another dollar off.
Next, I needed a tripod for my rotary laser. Teh tool crib employee has to climb to the top shelf. She brings down a open and dusty (yet complete) box. I jokingly say to her that for an open/dusty box, i'll need a 50% discount.
Done. Got the tripod for $35.
The news said yesterday that HD sales were off by 30% last quarter.

I got a super Makita 14.4 drill with one batt, just all standalone. down from $199 to $99. Had the darned thing a week; can't BELIEVE how strong it is. In low gear of three, I ran a 4-1/2" Holesaw through 3/4" decking and shingles.
